Cristel van Zunderd is a Dutch artist and illustrator who specializes in the areas of experimental graphics, charcoal drawing and visual design. She cites artists such as Peter van Straaten, Jurriaan van Hall, Quentin Blake, Tove Jansson and Mance Post as her main sources of inspiration. Cristel's love for nature is evident in her work, which is often whimsical, nostalgic, and sealed with her signature brand of humor.Her art is an invitation to have a glimpse of her rich and imaginative inner world.
In 2012, Cristel's collection was showcased at an exhibition that was organized by the collaborative efforts of the Monique Smulders Kunstzaken and Nieuw Schoten galleries that are based in Haarlem, Netherlands. Her work was exhibited alongside well-known Dutch and international artists like Eric Ginsburg from New York, Alexandre Matos from Sao Paolo, and Rob Polak, Herman van Staalduinen and Arseniy Pantchenko from the Netherlands. 
In 2013, Cristel was commissioned to create an original experimental graphics artwork for a client in Singapore. Currently, she is working on a children's book illustration, titled 'Mother Nature', which will be distributed all over the Netherlands. She will also be making her international debut at the Fridge Art Fair during the Art Basel Week in Miami this December.
